Writing Poetry

Poetry can take many forms. Some poetry rhymes. Sometimes it is combined with photography or art to express a certain emotion or capture the essence of an event. Poetry can be used to write songs. What is your favorite kind of poem?

Jennifer used shape poetry in her poem "Holding Mom's Kite." The words of the poem follow the shape of a kite and string to help readers visualize pulling mom home.
